Privacy Policy
How GermanySimple handles data for blog reading, advertising, and analytics.
Effective date: 2026-10-18
GermanySimple is an information platform with articles, search, user accounts and tools for advertisers, including campaign management, billing and online payments.
Information We Process
When you visit the site, servers and browsers may generate technical information such as IP address, browser type, device information, access time, referrer, pages visited, and basic error logs. This information is used to operate the site, investigate security issues, and measure traffic.
If you contact us by email, your email address, message, and related communication records are used to respond to your request.
If you create an account or use advertiser services, we process account and company details, email-verification and session data, campaign materials and settings, billing details, order and payment status, invoices, support correspondence, and records showing which legal-document version you accepted and when. Passwords and full card details are not stored in readable form by GermanySimple. Payment credentials are handled by the relevant payment provider. Technical identifiers used as evidence of acceptance may be stored only as keyed hashes rather than as plain IP addresses or user-agent strings.
We use this information to create and secure accounts, perform advertising orders, process and reconcile payments, provide invoices and support, prevent fraud, establish or defend legal claims, and comply with accounting, tax and other legal duties. Depending on the context, processing is based on performance of a contract or steps requested before a contract, legal obligations, legitimate interests in security and service operation, or consent where the law requires it.
Cookies, Ads, and Analytics
GermanySimple uses Google AdSense to display ads. Google and its advertising partners may use cookies, device identifiers, or similar technologies to serve ads, limit ad frequency, measure performance, and process data under their own policies.
GermanySimple uses Google Tag Manager to load Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity. Google Analytics measures page views, traffic sources, devices, and browsing behavior. Microsoft Clarity helps understand page interactions such as clicks, scrolling, and site usage. We use this data to improve the reading experience and do not use it to identify specific individuals.
You can manage or block cookies in your browser settings. The articles remain readable if cookies are blocked, but ads and analytics may be affected.
Data Sharing
We do not sell personal information. Data may be processed by Google AdSense, Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Microsoft Clarity, hosting, authentication, email, security and operations providers, and payment providers or acquiring banks needed to process an order. We disclose only what is reasonably necessary for the relevant purpose or required by law.
Retention and Security
We retain data only for as long as needed for the purposes above. Account and campaign data is normally kept while the account or contractual relationship is active; payment, invoice, contractual-acceptance and dispute records may be kept longer where required for tax, accounting, chargeback, limitation-period or legal-evidence purposes. We use reasonable safeguards, but no internet transmission or storage method is completely risk-free.
Your Choices
You can stop using the site, clear browser cookies, use browser privacy controls, or contact us to request access, correction or deletion of personal data, restriction of processing, portability where applicable, or to object where processing is based on legitimate interests. Some data may need to be retained when required by law or for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims.
Updates
This policy may be updated when the site, advertising tools, analytics tools, or legal requirements change. The latest version is published on this page.
